Well, it does NOT!

Compiling a module with your changes and trying to load it on my laptop Z11
I see:

[ 1089.454603] sony-laptop: acpi_callreadfunc failed
[ 1089.454609] \_SB.PCI0.P0P2.DGPU._DSM failed: 5, func 3, para, 2.
[ 1089.454612] \_SB.PCI0.P0P2.DGPU._DSM failed: 5, func 2, para, 17.

It seems that this path does not exist.

So you mean checking if the one runs and if that does not work try the
other one?

Do you know git?

Why don't we open a branch in my sony-laptop-zseries git repository
where we can try to make this work?

I have created a branch on my git repository now, please if you want to
register at gitorious.org and send me your login so I will add you to
the sony-laptop-zseries git project and you can play around in the
devel branch!

Best wishes
