Hi Raphael,

Thanks for answering. I deleted the xorg.conf.INTEL, also deleted a
leftover library libGL from jaunty.
Then I also removed an obsolete version of virtualbox package.
Then somehow it started working.
Unfortunately I cannot give a rational reason what was wrong before but at least
now everything seems to be working ok...
