Re: Some notes on installing Swift on Fedora
You're very welcome, Anne. I'm glad someone found it of value.
Regarding finding a home for it, that would be ideal. But I have to
wonder if that can be useful unless the SAIO page is modified, and a
pointer to a page for specific distributions is added?
The reason why I regretfully question this is partly based on my own
experience (being unaware of Jeff's work). And the effort even he
had to find it. As well as my helping someone out on the IRC channel
on Friday, who was also unaware of the efforts to help
Fedora/RH/CentOS folks.
So, let me toss something out there, and see if it's reasonable.
First, is it possible to get the SAIO page modified with a link to a
general Wiki page for distro specifics? If so, what I'd propose for
Fedora at least is an identical copy of the SAIO with the
modifications that I mentioned.
Hopefully this discussion will get the ball started on how best to
handle this. But I think whoever is in charge of the main SAIO page
needs to make a decision here.
