Hey folks,

I've been using Linux off and on since 1994, when I loaded whatever Slackware one could get from Walnut Creek CDROM. Since the late 90s it's been all Linux, mostly Mandrake/Mandriva, until about 2003/2004, when I switched to Mac (before it was cool), a 12" PowerBook. I played with Yellow Dog on an old Apple Cube (which currently runs Ubuntu). Last year I switched back, using Ubuntu for the first time. After apt, I'll never look back (I guess I'd be ok on Debian also). I can't wait for 8.10, but I'll probably wait until the release.

I regularly ride a Trek 1000, which is a fairly inexpensive but friendly bike ... I try do do 45 - 60 miles per week, riding at lunch from work, then maybe another 30 or 40 on the weekend. I'm rarely successful, but sometimes. I commute to work on a single speed Moth.

Cheers,
Robert
