I agree
- I found no way on reply to delete and or otherwise
edit the mail without removing any single char by DEL key stroke
You can select the block of text to delete. I agree that this is
decidedly not handy (not only inside Dekko, but in general. The
mechanism of text selection has to be improved all over the platform)
I just tried to answer one mail with Dekko because I was without my
netbook, painful :-(
What really is missing, is:
- on reply the cursor must be set below the mail, but above my own
signature;
*must* is the wrong word here. This is a user preference, must implies a
hard requirement, which this isn't that. The majority of mobile email
clients will start the reply above the message.
Anyway this will be configurable in the 0.6 release. You will have the
option to default to one of
- before quoted message
- after quoted message
- reply inline (user interaction selects start position)
- as said: the cited text should be marked with '> ' in all lines
All *actual* lines are in fact marked with '> ' this is a simple
word-wrapping issue in the composer. The sent message will display the
cited text correctly.
- the presented keyboard needs cursor Up, Down and Ctrl keys;
- it must be possible to move the cursor to some place in the text
(without painful deletions) and use from this point the combination
of Ctrl+Down to mark the text and delete it with one Del click;
What mobile email client has Up, Down and Ctrl keys?
