Re: Suggestion for Dynamic LIM for Ubuntu 12.10
@ Jo,
is there any proof of concept of LIM? i know there is a kind called
oxygen-menu in kde, but i dont like to install kde. Let me know. I would
like to try it.
In case of windows 8, the simple tasks for the app is grouped under
contracts, or so. They are present visually enough or invoked fairly
easily. Similarly, Gnome 3 has this purpose in app menu. in android the
most common functions are shown in the action bar and the extra one is
hidden and invoked by touching *More*.
This thinking made me read Mark Shuttleworth's blog on HUD again :). It is
HUD which could be a good alternative. Hopefully it lives upto its
expectation after one or two future releases. We need to promote it as much
as we can.
My thoughts on LIM has been put to rest nicely. Forward to trying 12.04
stable with HUD. :)
