Re: , brainstorming maximized rectangle windows, Was: design, give a suitable direction forward

I wanted to have an autohide launcher that expands to all the screen,
so we would have space to put folders, not only applications there,
but this is too radical and we're going fine the way we're going, so
you can just forget it now and keep this message for the future.

I do not think that this would improve Ubuntu. It would basically take the place of dash. Without dash, when you are already in an application, want to open another one, you can't without going all the way to the desktop. Definitely a no no from my point of view. But I am sure that God will help communication between everybody so that we can understand each other better. He can do everything!

What if we make the launcher become the desktop?
To place an icon in it, we open the app, then pin it in the desktop.
The icons would be able to occupy the whole screen.
We would have: close, minimize, maximize, icon to show desktop, icon
to show menu, window title, app name, indicators.

This is how it looks in Ubuntu: http://ubuntuone.com/7NFfFgZJl4klWnnickXW8L

Can you explain why we should have another button and add them to the
desktop instead?
