Well, if we take the analogy of table with glass it shouldn't be weird. We
don't see the wallpaper in the directory, and which is on the desktop.
Right?

I absolutely agree.
Personally I am tired of seeing whole big display only with wallpaper. I
want it to be more useful visually. :)
