Message #00029
missing xorg.conf
hi all,
I am newbie to Linux testing, so kinda need help figuring out
things here.
1) In the first test case xpr-001[2]: I cannot find the xorg.conf at this
location. Is this an expected condition? Since this the main configuration
file for Xorg, can anyone else confirm this situation on a default system?
2) The workaround for detecting the recommended drivers mentioned by benste
in Bug #518067
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/jockey/+bug/518067> did not work
for me. please can anyone else confirm the same? Also I am not sure how to
proceed further with testing, should I just download the latest driver form
Nvidia or wait for the issue to be fixed. I know it was disscussed on an
earlier mail, but I could not grasp the suggestion.
3) For issue with the system freeze when enter key is pressed (Bug #516412);
instead of removing plymouth package, the following work around that worked
for me:
At grub select recovery mode. select drop to root option and execute "start
gdm" at prompt. once gdm comes up I am able to use enter key without any
issues. I read this/similar work around on another bug report.
Thank you,
yasaswi
