Re: [Question #181411]: cylinder larger than half of the periodic cell

Question #181411 on Yade changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/181411

    Status: Answered => Open

Giulia Macaro is still having a problem:
I'm sorry, but I don't see any attach button.. I think it's only for the
bugs pages. I've sent the script to your email yesterday. I'm sending it
again.

2. I mean that the ghost cylinder (unique cylinder and blockDOFs='xXYZ') is only on one side, at least this is what I see from the 3D view. Instead the unique cylinder without blockDOFs gives segmentation fault or sometime more than one cylinder generated outside the cell.
3. What is then their difference? I can't find an exhaustive answer in the documentation. I have different results even if I use makeCloud and periodic=True or False. In periodicSandPile, instead, I don't see any difference if I change periodic=True/False in makeCloud.
4. I still don't get it. In my script, even if I have allowBiggerThanPeriod=True, I have ghost parts of the bottom floor and of the cylinder. Is it reasonable?
