Then why are they in a format that no other program can parse? Sure,
you could open it in a text editor and find your data, but my mother
in law opens the file and sees gibberish. I just asked her! She
doesn't get far enough to find her text, and in any case what would
she do with all the markup thrown in there?

I respect your decisions, Jaap, but I think that you are being a bit
cowardly about handling user's data. I personally can change the
directory so for me it is not a big deal, but I think that you are
overly cautious and make borderline contradictory assumptions about
your users (they don't know enough to find/backup hidden directories,
but they understand wiki markup or even the concept of a markup
language).

Please don't think that I'm harsh :) I love Zim, I appreciate your
dedication and development, and I care enough to mention the things
that I think you are wrong about because _constructive_ criticism is
good for the community. If I'm over stepping my bounds, let me know
and I'll shut up! Zim is still your baby and I respect your control of
her direction.
