Yup, since xinput modifies Xorgs "devices" and because evdaemon does
it's work "before" Xorg, modifying the device evdaemon filters, does
nothing.

Quite interesting. I haven't been able to reproduce that. The
middle-button works normally with and without evdaemon. Has someone else
encountered this same behavior?
