So what's the final consensus on the matter, at least for Luna? Going ahead with the blueprint would mean:

a) Biting the bullet and finally removing explicit minimize. Minimize will now be a technical detail transparent to the user. Close could mean different things, whatever makes the most sense for the app in question.

b) Promoting minimize as the way to remove an application's window while still keeping the dock icon. This would also mean we assume that existing apps that implicitly minimize on close are those that would probably make sense not to have bound to one workspace.
