I did not used any service to check a Kicad domain, but just tried some well known domains names.
and here is what I found:
kicad.org is also registered and curiously looks like kicad.info.
Curious and annoying.

an other site is kicad.eu and kicad.dk (seems the same) but have no link with kicad.
