Indeed ;-) (says the author of the aforementioned joke...)
It's a pun on a quote on the design of Git attributed to Linus Torvalds,
something like "look at CVS/SVN and do exactly opposite".
He didn't mean CVS/SVN were bad - just wanted to go his own way, not
reusing solutions from these tools.
