Longer comment as I am author of new MPS for 6.0 (you can see new module in ADDONS. EXTRA-ADDONS still contain old one):
I think that when Procurement order arise from MTO SO it should take scheduled date as SO date. Different story is that SO should have two dates: date of sending SO to supplier (SO creatin date) and date of expected goods receiving. The second date should go to procurement as Scheduled date.
When Procurement order arise from Minimal Stock Rules it has always curent date because it is reaction for current situation.
When considering MPS: Old version is realy proof of concept and in my opinion is rather unusable. But I respect that work because it inspired me to improve it. My new version (1.1) puts into Schedulaed Date of Procurement Order the date of beginning of calculated period. So when you calculate August and create Procurement it will have Scheduled date 1.08.2010. When you run procurement it creates Purchase order with some date before scheduled because of supplier dalay. It is true that it is a lot of manual work because it is for manual planning. New version has wizards for quicker creation of planning but planning is still manual.
@Davide, will you be satisfied when MTO SO Procurement bug is fixed or I have to think about MPS improvement for OpenERP 7.0?
