This is it exactly. We'd want to communicate this clearly, but there
also needs to be some understanding that this wouldn't be a chance for
someone to come up onstage who has never played before and begin abusing
some rented equipment. :-)
There is also the fact that most of us bring our own instruments and,
while I am completely willing to let Barry or Jono rock on my bass, that
does not apply to random people coming up and using it. so there must be
some form of tradeoff here. My hope is that this conversation will get
that idea going so that we can come up with a plan for participation
that meets all of the possible participants needs. :)
Part of this discussion was as a result of what i had heard from people
who had a similar experience to Benjamin. I just want us to have a bit
more planning time this time. :)
