I just did the translation run for the finished languages for raring
(fr, es, sl) on my raring machine with texlive installed by Jonathans
new script. All works as expected and in the same way as on my precise
machine with upstream Texlive 2012. So I agree, to recommend the new
way on the manual webpage.
