Great, this was just what I expected from an ubuntu phone :-)
I tried the command, and results were similar.
I noted that just after issuing it (coincidence?) the GPS aquired a stable fix, for the first time i have seen also elevation value and speed in "Sensor Status" app, and my position correctly updated while moving, both in here and osmtouch mapping apps.
Whil try also th GPS test reporting my results.
