No, I'm talking about using the phone as a simple remote control,
sending 0-9, etc. I do this to control my desktop while watching movies
now. It works great from many meters away. You don't need any speed for
this at all. You're only transferring very small pieces of data. There's
no graphics or anything like that. Only signals to which buttons you've
pushed. However, using WLAN is the only option when using Synergy, as
far as I'm aware. If you want to use a laptop as a mouse and keyboard,
then you use WLAN.
