Re: Xenial Xerus Ubuntu 16.04 Release Party?

I've never been to one of these release party events. What exactly happens?

I like both. Taco farm can't accommodate a crowd.

Beer town is more doable. There are beer taps built into the tables, if you're into that sort of thing.

I can give restaurant recommendations forever, but it helps to have parameters to narrow things down. And there's stuff I don't know, like whether they have outlets and wifi.

What if we got really crazy and tried something other than Chinese/Korean/Japanese foods this time? Just tossing that out there..

A quick look through Yelp found some interesting items:

http://tacofarm.ca/ - I haven't tried this yet, but the reviews seem very good.

http://www.beertown.ca/ - also never been here either, but it seems popular..

Does anyone have any experience with either of these places?

If you liked the buffet thing, there's King's on Fairway. They're okay, and lots of parking. There's also a whole pile of AYCE sushi places in town if you're down for that of thing.

I can recommend restaurants all day. I don't think I can make Saturday, tho.

I did prefer Chen's for the vast free parking spaces.. :(

ERK, while they serve good food, is in serious need of parking...

Yeah, it's gone.

If you're looking for the Chinese buffet experience, we're back to King's and Mandarin.

If you want room, parking and Waterloo, you could try China Garden. But I expect you guys will default to ERK. :)

I don't know, to be honest. I haven't eaten there since the last Ubuntu meeting. I will try to drive by as soon as possible, but if someone else is in the neighbourhood please have a look.

Chen's buffet was permanently closed last time I went in January.
Has it re-opened under new management?
