Well, I guess so, but I don't have the big picture in mind. If you just 
assign opposite displacements to each point so that p1-p2 = elasticDisp, 
with elasticDisp=Fs/ks, it should work.

Feel free to commit. I quit compiling yade before I have distcc working 
on r2orciere. ;)
