Re: No desktop on beta2 alternate ppc

 

Hi Greg,

further to my last email, the release team member I contacted stated..

1) it is up to the teams whether or not they include b43-fwcutter [1]
2) As far he was aware there are no copyright issues by including it.

I'd go along with that, as my understanding already was that they are open
source drivers for broadcom chipsets, in the same way as nouveau[2] is for
nVidia chipsets.
