Re: Alternate testcase changes

 

I think (in general) removing testcases is a bad idea. Some testcases
may be more edge cases (which I believe to be the case with
encryption/LVM), at which point we can make them optional.

That being said, I agree with having encryption/LVM testcases for both
desktop and alternate, assuming that they are optional. I just changed
the old alternate testcase to optional.

According to the aforementioned bug report, either debian-installer's
handling of LVM is incorrect or the testcase doesn't properly account
for its requirements. So something is not right. This is what needs to
be resolved.

In addition, a matching desktop testcase will need to be written, or
perhaps there's another one there we can use, such as with 1402, 1403,
or 1451. I'll leave it to you guys to figure out which one works.
Please make sure to test the testcase before you make a decision.

If you change a testcase, leave the number alone. If you make a new
one, leave the number out. It will get assigned when it's installed in
the tracker.

As I said before, make sure to read the information on contribution!
