Re: Please let Bug Control members be able to configure bug trackers

Alberto Salvia Novella:
It is wrong if it makes not to move on.
If it removes bottlenecks, then it is right.

Look, I don't care about who is right or not. That means nothing to me.

Instead I care of things getting done, and I believe the way for doing that is to ease problems as they appear.

Sometimes people will disagree on how this problems should be solved, but different is that the decisions is to stay the same 100% of the time. That's exactly what is a big no no to me.

Details doesn't matter. If you know something is bottlenecking your work is better to make a decision which seems good enough, and polish it latter on. Because is latter on is when you have the real information about how well is that decision performing.

Everything before that is just speculation, and there's no real way to tell what would be the accurate solution. You just can decide on the important things, approximately, then polish.

And if you want not to get too mad about instability, you just test the solution immediately and one by one: stable proven solutions, with a little bit of beta. GNOME 3 didn't get rejected because testing new things, but because everything was a test, and nothing was contrasted with real world.

Those who don't understand this choose between having unstable fast changing systems, or invariable old eclectic ones. But seizing one by one you get the best of both. The automotive industry knew it 70 years ago, and it's even more important for the software.
