Thanks for this good ideas. They show, that a "John Doe" or whoever is
welcome in the manual. The idea of "John's" realistic documents, email
and social network accounts is great, too. But I think this would be a
huge work to create, especially for the translators. So what do you
think about the following compromise? We use "John Doe" for the
general account and if there is a screenshot with some personal data
of "John", e.g. view to read/unread emails, gwibber messages, and so
on, the creator of the screenshot can use his own private settings for
that. Critical private information on that screenshots could be wiped
out (e.g. email adresses).
In this way, we have no creation and translation effort of "John's"
syntetic but realistic documents, need not to share his account
information to all authors and translators, but we have a relaistic
look and feel of daily life situations on the screenshots.
