Re: Ubuntu Touch OTA-10 released
Hello Ingo!
Yes, as already a few people mentioned in earlier replies, the proper
channel for krillin devices is ubuntu-touch/stable/bq-aquaris.en .
We had an announcement sent out at the beginning of the week (titled:
"ANN: Deprecation of unused ubuntu-touch system-image channels") that we
will be getting rid of the devices that are outdated in the 'ubuntu'
vanilla stable channels. The ubuntu channels for BQ and Meizu devices
were more of a convenience, but since it takes time to validate their
images (time which we don't have) we did not promote new versions to
them for a while. Reason: each device has its own custom channel that is
recommended to use instead anyway and those are fully supported by our team.
The best way to know which channel to use for which version is to, of
course, check the release notes for the given OTA:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/ReleaseNotes
We always give out channel names and version numbers corresponding to
the given update for the given device.
That being said, we will make sure to update the documentation so that
it's more clear.
Cheers!
