No need for a new bug report, it's a known problem with the power 
management circuit on these devices and reported several times, for example:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1471913
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575683

One of the workaround recommended by the hw vendor is to apply the 
procedure described by Pat earlier in this thread.
