Hi Jerome,
no it would not change anything for the MTL. Have a look at
CohesiveFrictionalContactLaw, IICR you will find there both the usage of
function rotateAndGetShear and the inclusion of MTL.
PBC : Periodic Boundary Conditions ;-)
