Re: ubuntu phone experience
Hi all - just wanted to send out a note on this topic of phone slow down.
We discovered there are a couple of processes that were leaking fd's, at a
rate high enough that it would effect user experience after some time.
We've landed a fix addressing one of the processes, so the rc-proposed
channel should be a little better on Monday. However, there are 2 more we
need to nail - still working.
There's also some tuning and verification we need to do around memory
swapping as it the swap process seems to be running frequently and pegging
the cpu when doing so for a bit longer than we'd expect. Investigation
continues on this as well.
at any rate, just wanted to follow up and let folks know we're working on
issues that are likely part of this thread.
work continues....
