Re: Guidelines for translations

Hello my fellow translators,

Last time, Ubuntu's official Hindi translated release was pending due to
3-4% due translations (PS- statistics can't be accurate but reason was
obvious).

What I am saying is that Let's take our national language, Hindi, to
official release of Ubuntu. Lets make our goal to complete most
translations till October 2012 so that Hindi can be there in Ubuntu 12.10

Our goal is simple and we've plenty of time (if we start working at
present). Personally speaking, I too stop translating when I reach
translations that are difficult because I don't want to contribute wrong
translations. I believe we face alike problems while translating words at
Launchpad.

Also, I am working on a website LinuxAthena.com <http://linuxathena.com/>

, which can be used to host the wiki, if you're planning to make it. But, I
am with Neeraj, when he said, "What I suggest is first let us start working
on this file and once we reach a consensus then we can save it off to a
"Hindi Translation Guidelines Wiki" which could be used in future not only
for Translating Ubuntu but for every Industrial strength application
worldwide".

But, I will go with you all. Please share all of your suggestions so that
we can start working quickly on this great venture.

Sorry if you got it twice.
Thanks and happy translating!
